has anybody tried the new forums they are using?
i am having the hardest time with jaws with it.
first I have both IE8 and firefox installed.
I'm useing Windows XP 32-bit and Jaws14.
when i visit the regular site: radiodiscussions.com with IE8 it makes my puter and jaws horiblely slow to use so much that i cant use the regular site
so i tried it on firefox. it keeps saying blankc and that page has no links, but i can see there is stuff with the jaws curcer.
i've tried the mobile version of the site which is:
http://radiodiscussions.com/forum.php?styleid=5
when i go to look at the forums in IE, here is what comes up. all in heading level 3.
list of 178 items
RADIODISCUSSIONS.COM DISCUSSION
TOP 20 MARKETS
OTHER LOCAL MARKETS
FORMATS
but if i review with the jaws curcer it shows stuff that you cant se with the PC curcer.
for example
Californya
for discussion of radio in Californya.
see, here's what i believe is going on.
the list of items is not only the catigories ( (RADIODISCUSSIONS.COM DISCUSSION is one catigory of forum
TOP 20 MARKETS is another catigory of forum
but jaws for some reason wont read all the sub forums from within each catigory.
so i tried it with firefox
the mobile site displays all of the catigory's as clikcable level 3 headings.
i can get to the sub catigory's by hitting enter, but you'd never know it by useing the PC curcer.
i used the jaws curcer to find the catigories below other local markits such as binghomton. but with the jaws curcer, i can only see a few of the local markits. i dont know how to scrole down the page with the jaws curcer to see past a certain point. i was thinkin i might be able to use the jaws curcer to somehow help me navigate this site, but i really need help. i've done everything i can think of
am i screwed or is there advice that someone can give on jaws access to this site?
they just switched from Simple Machines Forum (a very old version which worked wonderful) to vBulletin®. and since they spent months working on moving all the server stuff around, and got input from a lot of the registered members (including myself), i dont see them changing to anything else. so since that is very unlikely, is there any way i can use this forum at all? I love this radio site, and would like to use it if there is any way that jaws will work with it. help help help! please? i'd be forever greatful
Thanks so much!
John

Update, regular version of this site works wel with JFW15 and firefox, but it is slow when navigating with jaws.
IE8? forget about it. impossible.
if the page does load, jaws wouldn't be abel to be used its that slow.

update 2....
Jaws 11 and the mobile version of this site works very well. i wrote FS with all my findings and i'd like to hear what they have to say about it.
I also included the problem i was having with eBay and my workaround. i'd like to hear what they have to say on both counts.

I meant to come back and post. I check out this site yesterday. I'm using Windows 8 so the latest I.E. and Jaws 14. I didn't have any problems. I thought I'd look at the mobile site as well but it wouldn't let me do much without registering. I couldn't understand the audio verification captia so I didn't go any further with it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

the mobile site will let you do the same as the regular without registering. that's the site i really wanna use as it is much faster and cleaner.
when you go to the mobile site, there should be links to catigories such as top 20 markits, and below that a list of markits starting with New York, LA< etc.
